So, we could say onwards and upwards for 2024!

What a busy year, the Groundworkers completed their work by Easter, having finished laying the roads and paths which were topped in golden pea shingle, all the fencing was completed and the sheep moved in!

The three custom-built glamping pods due early in the year eventually arrived in March, too late for the early holiday season and in fact did not become available for guests to move into until July, but quickly got up to speed with holiday guests for the rest of the season.

The moor hens were also busy raising 15 young during this year, joined by a few passing ducks who dropped in for a snack, but did not nest as Janine and Ian had hoped.

The conservatory housing the private Jacuzzi Spa, Sauna and Changing Room, along with the Laundry was delayed due to the amount of work needed to get the glamping pods completed as quickly as possible, following their late delivery. This part of the project should be started next January and be completed by Easter.

So, 2025 will see all the major works completed, just 3 years after taking on this adventure, what a challenge, take a look at the “before and after” photos in “Follow the Journey” 

Now, leaving Ian, Janine and Amelia more time to enjoy their little piece of heaven in Devon, whilst welcoming guests to their detached holiday cottage and the three luxury glamping pods in the meadow beyond.
